[edit]On August 4, discussion on whether to change the requirements for users to obtain the WP:AUTOCONFIRM and WP:EXTENDED confirmed status was closed by Mz7. The discussion involved 163 comments from 74 people. Consensus was for no change except that counters should start from a user's first edit rather than when their account is created. The closer noted a general lack of evidence to support any change to status quo.
