We do have some pretty good data on at least a few paid editors, but there are many types and their rates are all over the place. But say a few thousand for a basic insert a few edits and argue about it until any non-paid editors just give up. If not everybody gives up, say another few thousand for starting a couple RfC's. Another few thousand if they have to go to WP:ANI (or similar). Since there are names and usernames related to these observations, I can only give the evidence to a few admins, but nobody has asked yet. BTW, UPE is best explained at the policy WP:Paid contribution disclosure and WP:PAYTALK is very relevant also. Smallbones_(smalltalk) 23:34, 20 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Billionaires have seemingly infinite wallets to fund a legion of anti-humanist tech bros to kill the internet and flood it with right wing, anti-democratic disinformation and propaganda. And we get the privledge of buying our own mop and associated supplies, which fortunately are all free from the company store.
