• "Wikipedia of maps" boosted: In a move that may have beneficial long term impact on Wikimedia projects, Technology Review reported the migration of clients and developers from the proprietary map service Google Maps, which has started charging for high-end access, to the open source OpenStreetMap alternative, whose Wikipediaesque "anyone can contribute" model and free licencing allows it certain advantages over its competitors.
